You can be sure of a warm welcome at the NFO. We're a friendly bunch of amateur musicians whose focus is very much on the fun of making music as a group. At the same time, we strive for high standards and to do justice to the music that we play together.

We'd love to hear from you whatever instrument you play, ​but we're particularly in need of STRINGS, TRUMPETS and TROMBONES.
Am I good enough?
As a rough rule of thumb, if you can play to Grade 5 standard as a minimum, you'll probably be fine. Don't worry if you're rusty - there's nothing like regular playing to get you back in the swing of things. If you're in doubt, get in touch and have a chat about it.
